Crafted from locally sourced East Lothian ash, chosen for its pale tone and distinctive grain, this bench is finished with a handwoven Danish cord seat. In time, the cord can be rewoven — but with ash dieback now widespread across the UK, it’s uncertain how much of this remarkable timber will remain for future generations.
